About Us
Stand Alone Cheese opened its doors on June 1, 2019 in Jackson Heights. The shop is owned and operated by husband and wife team (and Queens residents) Steffen Kenney and Jenny Armstrong, who met through cheese while working at Artisanal Fromagerie and Bistro in New York City.
Although we are a small shop, we seek to pack our shelves with a wide selection of cheeses, meats, and specialty foods. We carefully curate our cheese selection and like to carry what we consider to be the best example of a particular style of cheese. We have what we feel is a great mix of European and domestic cheeses.
Our goal is to make cheese fun and accessible to everyone and alleviate that overwhelmed feeling that people sometimes have when purchasing cheese or specialty foods.
We love Jackson Heights and are honored to be a part of this incredible community! Thank you for your continued support.
